Eric Hamacher set forth as a winemaking nomad after graduating from UC Davis' prestigious Enology program in 1988. He has since created stunning wines for more than 35 vintages at various wineries around the world. In 1995, Eric headed north to the "Promise Land" of Pinot Noir and founded his eponymous winery in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. In 2001, Eric founded The Carlton Winemakers' Studio, designed to enable small wineries to share space and expertise. For over a decade, he made his wines at The Studio alongside an ever-changing group of small, artisanal producers. In 2015, he moved his production to the Ponzi Historic Estate and opened his tasting room, dedicated to showcasing Hamacher Wines directly to grateful wine lovers. We are a family friendly winery. Our Tasting Room features a Gourmet Charcuterie Vending Machine with fresh, small bites for your enjoyment. Outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted on the lawn only. Dogs are not permitted on the property. Thank you.
