Xia Long Bao - plump and so incredibly tasty! Like a non crispy potsticker or dumpling. I would absolutely order this again. Sesame beef - perfect balance of textures! Chewy, but not tough, meat sprinkled with toasted sesame seeds on a bed of crispy rice noodles. Champagne orange chicken - delicious plump white meat mixed with bell peppers and onions and a surprise twist of Mandarin oranges make this utter perfection. Complete heaven in my mouth!! I'm so confused of why we were the only ones in the restaurant. This place is a gold mine! I visited there once several years ago and remember having the hot and sour soup which was crazy spicy and left my mouth on fire but loved the rest of the dishes. They give you a heaping portion, easily enough for two, so the prices are worth it. Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable and articulate about the different dishes and how they would taste, along with her specific recommendations which I greatly appreciated ( none of this 'well it depends on what you like' BS). She was very friendly and the food came out quickly. This place has been an establishment for two decades and the chef at this location has been here for 17 years. Trust me, he knows what he's doing! Easily one of the best Chinese restaurants in the city. I will obviously return again soon, including happy hour! Can you say hidden gem?! Alex B. Portland Oregon
