Madison's Grill - Restaurant Review

Despite a recently revised menu that boasts an extensive selection of healthy choices, Madison’s Grill’s modern take on American pub fare hardly suffers from their reduction in fatty ingredients. Offering lunch and dinner daily, as well as brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, this charming grill is the place to go if you’re seeking a lively atmosphere in a historic building featuring a full bar, free billiards, and patio dining. The traditional pub treats mingle with some unconventional alternatives such as the Northwest Salmon Picatta and Chicken Bento.

Henry's Tavern

Appropriately nestled in a building that crafted beer for more than 140 years, Henry’s Tavern now carries over 100 beers on tap and satisfies diners with a genuine appreciation for history and quality. The original Blitz-Weinhard Brewery building retains iconic features like its smokestack, and an enlivened sense of inspiration finds its way into every pint and plate served. And with its impressive Happy Hour food menu, good eats and a good time are always close at hand.

Address: 5425 NE 30th Ave., Portland, OR 97211 (Map)

Beast

Standing out from the crowd of typical a la carte restaurants is Beast, serving up thoughtfully genuine meals in a uniquely intimate setting. With a weekly 6-course prix fixe dinner menu highlighting the season’s freshest and finest produce, and a true appreciation for all things carnivorous, Beast creates a dining experience focused squarely of the joys of communing over great food. In addition to the orchestrated menu, Beast only offers two seating times for dinner; this practice ensures that quality of food and service is not compromised to mass turn-out. And on Sundays, all are welcome to join around the Beast table for a hearty and heartwarming brunch – with reservations, of course.
