Located in a charming old Victorian home, Paley’s Place offers Southern French and Northern Italian influenced Pacific Northwestern cuisine. The result, orchestrated by skilled 2005 James Beard Award winner Chef Vitaly Paley, is nothing short of culinary excellence. Whether it be a table on the porch or in the intimate but casual dining room, there’s no bad seat in the house to enjoy some of their seasonal organic specialties such as the Rabbit Ravioli with house bacon, mushrooms and summer squash or 40-Day Dry-Aged Highland Oak Ribeye with sweet onion rings and creamed greens.
Paley's Place delivered an outstanding meal. It was a feast for the eyes as well as the palate. Wine selection recommended by waiter complemented the dinner perfectly.
Paley's is a great restaurant with a friendly staff. Be sure to plan ahead due to the fact that prime times fill in quickly. All the food choices are very good, if you are very hungry the 1/2 order may not be enough depending on what you have prior to your entree.
While visiting my son in Portland in May, we wanted to find a really good place to dine. Paley's was just such a place. The wait staff were remarkable, the food fantastic. Do I plan to return? Do bears live in the woods? Tops on my list. I highly recommend. Jim Horvath Canal Winchester, Ohio
